      Etymology: "From Sindarin Erebor, in J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendarium referred to both a mountain in northern Rhovanion and the Dwarven city located within it. The ‘Lonely Mountain’ (the alternative name of Erebor) also reflects the fact that the sister taxon was not created" (op. cit., p. 7).
